IJNIA Receives DOI Registration: Permanent Digital Identifiers Registration
The International Journal of the Nigerian Institutes of Architects (IJNIA) is pleased to announce the registration of its Digital Object Identifier (DOI) prefix through Crossref. The journal has been assigned the unique DOI prefix 10.68074, marking an important step in strengthening IJNIA’s scholarly publishing infrastructure, international visibility, discoverability, and long-term accessibility. A Digital Object Identifier provides each published article with a permanent and internationally recognised digital identity. DOIs make scholarly publications easier to locate, cite, cross-reference, and connect with the wider global research ecosystem.
IJNIA DOI StructureEach article published in IJNIA will be assigned a unique DOI following a consistent structure: https://doi.org/10.68074/ijnia.YYYY.ID. The DOI consists of several elements. 10.68074 is the unique DOI prefix assigned to IJNIA through Crossref. This is followed by ijnia, which identifies the International Journal of the Nigerian Institutes of Architects. YYYY represents the year in which the article is published, while ID represents the unique article identifier generated through the journal's manuscript management and publication system. For example, an article published in 2026 with the article identifier 25 may have the DOI: https://doi.org/10.68074/ijnia.2026.25
This structure provides every IJNIA article with a distinct and traceable identifier that remains associated with the publication throughout its scholarly lifecycle.
DOI Assignment to Published ArticlesIJNIA will assign individual DOIs to its published articles and register the associated article metadata with Crossref. Each DOI will resolve directly to the relevant article page on the journal website, providing researchers and readers with a persistent route to the published work. Going forward, every eligible article published by IJNIA will receive a DOI as part of the publication process.
